The MEP Project Manager – Retail Fit-Out is responsible for managing and delivering all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works for retail, F&B, and mall fit-out projects across the UAE. The role ensures compliance with mall management guidelines, local authorities, and tenant coordination requirements, while meeting tight handover deadlines.
Key Responsibilities Retail Project Management
Plan, execute, and deliver MEP works for retail shops, restaurants, cafés, kiosks, and mall units.
Manage fast-track programs and ensure alignment with tenant opening dates.
Prepare detailed work programs, method statements, and authority submission schedules.
Design Review & Coordination
Review MEP drawings, shop drawings, load calculations, and specifications.
Coordinate with interior designers, architects, mall fit-out teams, landlords, and base-build consultants.
Resolve clashes between MEP services, ceiling layouts, signage, and retail equipment.
Mall & Authority Approvals
Obtain approvals from Mall Management / Landlord and authorities such as DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence, Dubai Municipality, SEWA, ADDC.
Coordinate NOCs, inspections, energization, and final clearances.
Ensure compliance with mall technical manuals and authority standards.
Electrical & ELV Systems
Manage power load schedules, MDB/SMDB installation, lighting control, emergency lighting, and signage power.
Oversee ELV systems including CCTV, access control, data, IPTV, and POS requirements.
