Up for sale is my Ford ST – the most fun you can have in a family car. The ST is a typical hot hatch: Fast, fun, and practical. My car has 352,660 km on it, but they are almost exclusively highway miles on cruise control to Abu Dhabi. It honestly feels and drives like a car that has about 180k-200k km on it. I am the second owner; the first owner also used it regularly for highway commutes for work.

The car has had meticulous maintenance. I literally have half a kilogram of service records (see picture). From 0km to 300,000km it was serviced regularly at the dealership (Al Tayer Motors) and at Garage Fawaz Car Repairing and ADNOC after that. I honestly believe the engine has at least 100,000km more to go on it (you’ll feel the same if you drive it). Always parked in covered parking at both home and office.

The Ford ST is a great driver’s car; it appears to have been designed and built by car guys for other car guys. Best things:
- Manual gearbox with crisp shifts, responsive clutch
- Desirable Tangerine Scream color (most popular with Ford STs)
- High-end, sporty Recaro seats in the front (normally available only in far more expensive sports cars)
- The best and most intuitive cruise control system: Digital cruise with a paddle shifter on left hand side for the RESUME/CANCEL cruise function
- Very driver focused interior with excellent visibility
- A proper 5-seater with excellent luggage space in the back
