KEY FACTS
● This E46-generation BMW Alpina B3 is a refined performance estate, fitted with a freshly rebuilt transmission.
● It is powered by a naturally aspirated 3.3-litre inline-six, delivering 280bhp to the rear wheels through a five-speed ‘Switch-Tronic’ automatic transmission with steering wheel-mounted shift buttons.
● This Alpina B3 was originally delivered to Japan before later being exported to the United Arab Emirates.
EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES
● The B3 3.3 featured a modified version of the US-specification E36-era M3’s 3.2-litre engine, including an increased bore, a longer stroke, a tuned cylinder head, a new exhaust manifold, lighter pistons, a redesigned crankshaft, and a new torsional vibration damper that allows revs of up to 7,200rpm, resulting in a power output of 280bhp, or 40bhp more than the engine on which it is based.
● Other upgrades include stiffer springs, modified dampers, sports seats, redesigned instruments, wooden inlays, a hand-stitched steering wheel with shift buttons, Alpina floor mats and door sills, multi-spoke wheels with concealed valve stems, and upgraded brake pads fitted into discs and callipers from the 330i.
● This example is finished in white, punctuated by gold-toned ‘Deco-Set’ decals and pinstriping.
● The cabin is trimmed in grey cloth, complete with blue and green stripe detailing as well as wooden inlays.
● It rides on a set of 18-inch multi-spoke wheels, fitted with Kumho tyres.
● Equipment includes an electric sunroof, electrically adjustable front seats with three-position driver’s memory, cruise control, climate control, a BMW Business CD stereo, and a Pioneer Carrozzeria dash-top screen.
● Accompanying the sale is the owner’s book pack, Japanese service history, warning triangle, toolkit, and one key.
CONDITION
● Damage to rear passenger side wheel arch.
● General stone chips and marks on the paintwork, flaking paint on the left-hand rear, a broken armrest, crazing on some of the wooden inlays, and wear on the steering wheel.
SERVICE HISTORY
● The transmission was rebuilt in January 2025.
● The car was last serviced in September 2024 at 110,867 kilometres by Spike Auto Repair.
● Work was performed on the brakes and ABS system in November 2024.
● Prior to this, a service was carried out by Octane Al Quoz in December 2023.
● Further Japanese service history is also supplied.
SUMMARY
