We are seeking an accurate and organised Operations Clerk to provide administrative support to the transport operations team. Reporting to the Operations Manager or Transport Manager, the successful candidate will handle the documentation, data entry, and record-keeping that keeps the fleet running and ensures that every trip is properly authorised, recorded, and billable.
The core of the role is trip documentation and record management. The Operations Clerk prepares and issues trip sheets, gate passes, delivery notes, and job orders to drivers at the start of each run, and collects, checks, and files the returned paperwork at the end of it. Proof of delivery documents are verified against the original job, missing or unsigned documents are chased with drivers and customers, and completed records are archived so they can be retrieved for invoicing, customer queries, or audit without difficulty.
