We are seeking an energetic and reliable Grocery Assistant to keep our grocery aisles fully stocked, accurately priced, and presented to standard. Reporting to the Grocery Section Supervisor or Department Manager, the successful candidate will handle replenishment, stock rotation, and customer assistance on the sales floor, ensuring that shoppers find what they came for in good condition and at the correct price.
The core of the role is replenishment and presentation. The Grocery Assistant unloads stock from the backstore, opens and breaks down cartons, and fills shelves, gondolas, and promotional displays according to the planogram. Products are faced forward, aligned, and kept neat throughout the shift so the aisle looks maintained rather than merely filled. Empty and low-stock lines are identified and replenished promptly during trading, with fast-moving items prioritised during peak hours, and gaps reported to the supervisor where backstore stock has run out.
