About the Role
A well-established luxury restaurant in Dubai is looking for a proactive Purchasing/Procurement Officer to manage the sourcing and buying of food, beverage, and operational supplies. The successful candidate will ensure quality ingredients and materials are purchased at competitive prices, on time, and in line with the standards expected of a luxury dining establishment.
Key Responsibilities
Source and purchase food, beverage, and operating supplies based on approved requisitions.
Create/update Item Codes, UOM, and vendor catalog prices in the system.
Obtain and compare quotations from multiple suppliers to ensure best value for money.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
Prepare quote comparative statements, getting purchase justification sheets signed, and forwarding LPOs.
Maintain an approved supplier list and evaluate supplier performance regularly.
Issue purchase orders and ensure timely follow-up on deliveries.
Coordinate with the receiving and store teams to confirm quality and quantity of goods received.
Maintain accurate purchasing records, price lists, and supplier contracts.
Maintain the Purchase Department Tracker for all pending orders.
Monitor market prices and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procurement procedures.
Resolve discrepancies related to pricing, quality, or delivery with suppliers.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business, Supply Chain, or Hospitality Management.
4 years of purchasing/procurement experience, preferably in restaurants or hotels.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
F&B procurement/sourcing experience mandatory, preferably in GCC.
Proficiency in MS Excel and purchasing/inventory systems.
Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple orders simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
Fluent in English; Arabic or French is an advantage.
