About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Supervising Manager who is actively registered as a Legal Translator with the UAE Ministry of Justice.
The successful candidate will supervise the legal translation operation, ensure compliance with MOJ requirements, manage translation quality and workflows, and provide certified Arabic–English legal translation services. The candidate will also support the licensing and operational setup of the new business.
Key Responsibilities
• Act as the MOJ registered Supervising Manager of the legal translation company.
• Support management with the licensing, registration and operational setup of the business.
• Ensure the company and its translators comply with UAE Ministry of Justice requirements and applicable laws.
• Notify the relevant authority of translators working for the company and any changes affecting the company’s licence or registration.
• Ensure that translation work is assigned only to translators who are properly registered and authorised for the relevant language pair.
• Maintain the required records of translation assignments, clients, completion dates and certified documents.
• Translate and certify legal documents between Arabic and English.
• Review translations for legal accuracy, completeness, terminology and correct formatting.
• Manage proofreading, quality control and final approval processes.
• Develop translation procedures, templates, bilingual legal glossaries and quality-control standards.
• Supervise the legal translation team, allocate work and monitor deadlines.
• Handle complex or sensitive translation assignments.
• Liaise with clients, law firms, notaries, PRO agents, courts and government departments when required.
• Support quotations, turnaround time estimates and client service standards.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and secure handling of all client and case documents.
• Keep the company’s and the candidate’s MOJ registrations, insurance and other required documents valid and current.

Requirements
• Active and valid registration as a Legal Translator with the UAE Ministry of Justice.
• MOJ authorised Arabic–English language pair.
• Valid translator card, registration number and completed legal-oath requirements.
• Recognised university degree in Translation, Linguistics, Law or a related field.
• Minimum five years of professional legal translation experience.
• Strong knowledge of UAE legal terminology and court, notary and government document requirements.
• Good understanding of UAE mainland legal concepts and familiarity with DIFC and ADGM legal terminology.
• Previous experience with a licensed legal translation company, law firm, court or government-related service.
• Experience supervising translators or managing translation quality and workflows is strongly preferred.
• Excellent written and spoken Arabic and English.
• Strong attention to detail, professional judgment and ability to work under pressure.
• Currently based in the UAE and available to work in Dubai.
• Ability to meet all requirements for association with or registration under the new translation company.
