As we scale across jurisdictions and client segments, we are looking for a self-driven and solutions-oriented Compliance Manager to lead and manage our core compliance operations from our Dubai office.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and independent Compliance Manager with a strong background in crypto, fintech, forex, or banking sectors. This individual will play a pivotal role in safeguarding instiX Global's operations across retail and institutional business lines by ensuring full regulatory compliance across jurisdictions including the UAE, EU, and other global markets.
This is a hands-on execution-first role, ideal for someone who is both detail-oriented and strategic, and can independently drive compliance operations, manage cross-functional stakeholders, and liaise with regulators and banking partners.
Key Responsibilities:
• Regulatory Compliance & Governance
o Maintain, implement, and evolve the compliance framework aligned with FATF, MiCA (EU), VARA (Dubai), ADGM, DIFC, FATCA, TOF, Travel Rule, and other international regimes.
o Serve as the key point of contact for regulators, auditors, and banking/compliance teams.
o Ensure all regulatory reporting, filings, and audits are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
• AML / KYC / KYB Program Oversight
o Own and manage the full client onboarding lifecycle, including risk-scoring, AML/KYC checks, enhanced due diligence (EDD), and transaction monitoring.
o Oversee integration and management of KYC/AML tools (e.g., Sumsub, Chainalysis, TRM, etc.).
• Fraud, Risk & Claims Management
o Investigate and resolve fraud claims, dispute resolutions, and suspicious transaction reports (STR/SAR).
o Liaise with banking partners on fund flows, AML queries, and client-level investigations.
• On-Chain & Off-Chain Monitoring
o Implement on-chain transaction monitoring, risk scoring, and address screening tools across OTC and on/off-ramp operations.
o Interpret and escalate red flags in both fiat and crypto channels.
• Compliance Execution & Team Collaboration
o Operate with independence; execute directly without dependence on legal/compliance teams for routine compliance needs.
o Work closely with Legal, Sales, Operations, and Management teams to enable safe and scalable business growth.
o Support and eventually manage a growing compliance team as the organization scales.
• Policy, Training & Audit
o Draft and maintain internal compliance manuals, SOPs, and training programs.
o Conduct internal compliance audits and ensure continuous improvement and policy updates.
Key Requirements:
• Minimum 5+ years of total experience in compliance roles within fintech, crypto, banking, forex, brokerage, hedge funds, or other regulated institutions.
• Minimum 2+ years of crypto/forex/fintech compliance experience is mandatory.
• Background in Law, Finance, Business, or Risk Management preferred.
• ACAMS or other AML certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
• Hands-on experience with AML/KYC onboarding platforms, on-chain analytics, and crypto-specific compliance tools.
• Strong understanding of FATF, VARA, EU MiCA, ADGM/DIFC, FATCA, Travel Rule, and global AML/CTF frameworks.
• Experience liaising with banks and PSPs for compliance, transaction monitoring, and fraud risk.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, take accountability, and solve problems proactively.
• Leadership capabilities to build and scale a compliance team as needed.
