Job Summary

The IT Officer – Odoo ERP is responsible for the administration, maintenance, support, and continuous improvement of the Odoo ERP system. The role ensures the smooth operation of business processes by providing technical support, managing system configurations, maintaining data integrity, coordinating ERP enhancements, and supporting end users across all departments.

Key Responsibilities

Odoo ERP Administration
• Manage and maintain the Odoo ERP system, including user accounts, roles, and access permissions.
• Configure and support Odoo modules such as Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, HR, CRM, Manufacturing, and Projects.
• Monitor system performance and ensure optimal operation.
• Perform system upgrades, updates, and testing activities.
• Manage database backups and recovery procedures.
User Support
• Provide first-line and second-line support for Odoo users.
• Troubleshoot system issues and resolve user-reported problems promptly.
• Conduct user training and onboarding sessions.
• Prepare user manuals, guides, and technical documentation.

Business Process Improvement

• Analyze business requirements and recommend ERP solutions.
• Configure workflows and automate business processes where applicable.
• Coordinate with departments to identify improvement opportunities.
• Assist in implementing new modules and system enhancements.

Data Management

• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across the ERP system.
• Support data migration, import, and export activities.
• Generate reports, dashboards, and management information as required.
• Perform regular data validation and quality checks.
System Integration and Development Support
• Coordinate with internal developers and external vendors for customizations.
• Assist in testing new features, integrations, and system modifications.
• Monitor interfaces between Odoo and third-party applications.
• Document system changes and technical specifications.
IT Infrastructure Support
• Support servers, network devices, printers, and end-user hardware.
• Monitor system security and implement access control measures.
• Assist with cybersecurity best practices and IT compliance requirements.
• Maintain IT asset inventories and licensing records.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Odoo certification is an advantage.
• Relevant ERP administration experience preferred.
Experience Requirements
• 2–5 years of experience in IT support, ERP administration, or Odoo implementation.
• Hands-on experience with Odoo ERP configuration and support.
• Experience with Linux servers, PostgreSQL databases, and cloud environments is preferred.
• Experience in ERP projects, implementation, or migration is an advantage.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Odoo ERP modules and workflows.
• Basic understanding of PostgreSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems and server administration.
• Knowledge of ERP implementation methodologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
• Good documentation and reporting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
