Job Details
Site Execution: Supervise day-to-day installation activities on site, ensuring wood paneling, doors, vanities, and loose furniture are fitted perfectly.
Drawing & Technical Review: Review approved shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals to ensure on-site teams install components accurately.
Site Surveying: Conduct initial site readiness assessments and laser measurements to identify dimensional discrepancies before factory delivery.
Coordination & Liaising: Act as the primary technical point of contact on site, coordinating with the main contractor's site agents, MEP engineers, and designers.
Progress Tracking: Maintain detailed daily logs, monitor installation progress against the project schedule, and proactively report potential delays to the Project Manager.
Material Management: Inspect and oversee the receiving, safe unloading, and indoor storage of delicate, high-value joinery elements delivered from the factory.
Snagging & Handover: Lead the internal snagging process, resolve installation defects instantly, and secure official client handover sign-offs.
🛠 Skills and Qualifications
Experience: 3–5 years of site engineering experience strictly within joinery manufacturing, interior fit-outs, or architectural millwork.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Wood Technology.
Technical Literacy: Masterful ability to read complex architectural, MEP, and joinery shop drawings.
Leadership: Proven ability to manage, motivate, and direct carpentry teams, site foremen, and installation subcontractors.
Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of on-site health and safety regulations (OSHA / local municipality construction codes).
Mobility: A valid driver’s license and possession of your own car are highly preferred to facilitate daily travel between the factory, various active construction sites, and client coordination meetings.
