Job Details

o Assembling parts prior to the final weld (tack welding, jig setup).
o Ensuring dimensions and tolerances meet project specifications.
o Proficiency with fabrication tools (grinders, torches, drills).
o Strong measurement skills. Ability to troubleshoot fit-up issues.
o Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
o Measuring, cutting, bending, and shaping metal components using shears, saws, presses, and grinders.
o 6G-certified welder is qualified to weld in all positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead).
o High-pressure pipe welding where the joint is fixed and cannot be rotated.
o Applying precise control over arc length and heat to prevent burn-through or lack of fusion.
o Expertise in common processes (SMAW/Stick, TIG/GTAW).
o Experience with high-pressure pipelines or critical industrial assemblies.
o proficiency in overhead groove welding on plate.
o Welding structural joints in an overhead position.
o Maintaining weld bead integrity while preventing molten metal from sagging due to gravity.
o Valid 4G certification (e.g., AWS D1.1 for structural steel).
o Ability to maintain steady hands and precise travel speeds while working in awkward positions.
