Senior Technical Engineer– Fit-Out

Purpose
The Senior Technical Engineer– Fit-Out is responsible for providing technical leadership, coordinating design efforts, and ensuring the constructability of interior fit-out projects. This role involves ensuring that all drawings, specifications, materials, and details are properly coordinated, compliant with regulations, and feasible within the project's constraints.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate shop drawings and technical submissions for fit-out works.
• Review architectural, interior design, MEP, and specialist drawings for coordination and constructability.
• Oversee the preparation of shop drawings, material submittals, and prototypes, ensuring timely approvals.
• Propose value engineering solutions while identifying construction risks and recommending mitigations.
• Optimize details for cost, time, and quality efficiency, while liaising with clients and consultants for technical approvals.
• Ensure compliance with local authority and fire/life safety requirements.
• Provide technical guidance to site teams, resolve RFIs and discrepancies, and prepare weekly reports and logs.
• Address high-level site conflicts regarding material installation and MEP integration.
• Support quality control during execution, ensure completeness of technical documentation, and assist in project handover.
• Lead snagging and handover processes with extreme attention to detail.
• Assist with project handover and address any technical issues during the defects liability period (DLP).
• Support authority inspections when technical input is necessary.

Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Interior Design.
• Mandatory 10- 15 years of extensive background experience in a reputable role in a Fit-out / Contracting company (as a Senior Architect, Project Lead)
• Strong experience in the UAE working on consultant-led, fast-track projects.
• Proven track record of delivering luxury/high-end residential, hospitality, or commercial projects.

Technical Skills advantages

Shop Drawings, material submittals, and prototypes, MEP Design, Drawings,

Primavera 6, Navisworks, Fidic, Revit, AutoCAD, CPM, EOT, TIA, Power BI, MS Office,

Provide technical guidance to site teams, resolve RFIs and discrepancies

Leadership,

Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, and Construction Degree
