We are seeking a caring and vigilant School Bus Attendant to ensure the safety and wellbeing of students during their journey to and from school. Reporting to the Transport Supervisor or School Transport Coordinator, the successful candidate will accompany the driver on every route, taking direct responsibility for the children on board from pick-up to drop-off.
The core of the role is student safety and supervision. The School Bus Attendant assists students boarding and alighting the bus, ensures every child is seated properly and wearing a seatbelt before the bus moves, and monitors behaviour throughout the journey to prevent horseplay, bullying, or unsafe conduct. Younger children and those with additional needs are given extra support and reassurance, and the attendant remains alert to any sign of distress, illness, or discomfort among students during the ride.
