Job Details

We are looking for a detail-oriented AutoCAD Draftsman to translate design concepts, client briefs, and site measurements into precise technical drawings and shop drawings for our joinery and furniture production. This role sits at the heart of our process, bridging design intent and workshop execution, and is critical to ensuring every piece is manufactured accurately, efficiently, and to specification.

## Key Responsibilities

- Produce detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings for bespoke joinery, cabinetry, and furniture, including plans, elevations, sections, and construction details
- Convert client requirements, sketches, and site survey measurements into accurate, production-ready shop drawings
- Prepare cutting lists, material schedules, and hardware specifications from approved drawings
- Detail joinery construction methods (jointing, panelling, edge profiles, hardware fittings) in line with workshop capabilities
- Coordinate with designers, project managers, and workshop staff to ensure drawings reflect design intent and are buildable
- Conduct or support on-site measurements and surveys as needed
- Revise drawings based on client feedback, site conditions, or production constraints
- Maintain an organized drawing library and version control for all projects
- Liaise with the workshop team during production to resolve any technical drawing queries
- Ensure drawings account for material specifications, finishes, and standard dimensions used across the workshop

## Requirements

- Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Furniture/Product Design, Draftsmanship, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a draftsman in joinery, furniture manufacturing, interior fit-out, or millwork (UAE experience preferred)
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D essential) as well as SketchUp and other 3D modeling software (Rhino, 3ds Max, or similar)
- Strong understanding of joinery construction techniques, materials (solid wood, veneers, MDF, laminates, marble, upholstery), and hardware systems
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior design drawings
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in dimensions and specifications
- Good communication skills to coordinate between design, sales, and workshop teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet production deadlines
- Familiarity with UAE furniture/joinery industry standards and practices is a plus
