Job Details

We are looking for a motivated and hardworking Commis 2 – Hot Kitchen / Pastry to join our kitchen team for the launch of our new restaurant project in Dubai. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the opening team and develop your skills in a professional and fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Chef de Partie and senior chefs with daily kitchen operations.
• Prepare ingredients and complete daily mise en place according to kitchen requirements.
• Assist with the preparation and cooking of hot kitchen dishes.
• Assist with basic pastry and dessert preparation as required.
• Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the assigned kitchen section.
• Ensure proper food handling, storage, and hygiene standards are followed.
• Assist with stock rotation and minimize food wastage.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a Japanese or Asian restaurant is required.
• Previous experience as a Commis 2 in a hot kitchen, pastry section, or similar restaurant environment.
• Basic knowledge of hot kitchen and/or pastry preparation.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
• Willingness to learn and develop within the kitchen team.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Good communication skills and a positive team attitude.
• Candidates must currently be based in the UAE.
• Candidates available to join immediately are preferred.
