Position Overview
The Site Engineer / Site Supervisor is responsible for managing day‑to‑day site operations for interior fit‑out projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, quality standards, HSE requirements, and project delivery timelines. The role requires strong technical knowledge, disciplined documentation practices, and effective coordination with subcontractors, suppliers, and the project management team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Management & Execution
Oversee daily site activities to ensure work is executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project programme.
Coordinate manpower, subcontractors, materials, and equipment to maintain uninterrupted workflow.
Conduct regular site inspections to verify workmanship quality and compliance with project requirements.
Monitor progress and report deviations, risks, or delays to the Project Manager with corrective action plans.
2. Quality Control & Take-Off
Prepare accurate material take-offs (MTO) and quantity assessments based on Site Material and Labor Needs
Verify delivered materials against approved specifications and quality standards.
Ensure installation quality for joinery, partitions, ceilings, flooring, MEP modifications, and finishing works.
Maintain quality inspection records, snag lists, and closure documentation.
3. HSE Compliance & Documentation
Implement and enforce all Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies as per company standards and statutory regulations.
Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and ensure proper use of PPE by all personnel.
Maintain HSE documentation including incident reports, risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and daily safety checklists.
Coordinate with building FM teams, consultants, and authorities for safety inspections and compliance requirements.
4. Documentation & Delivery Records
Maintain daily site reports, progress logs, manpower allocation sheets, and material delivery records.
Prepare weekly progress reports and submit documentation required for project monitoring and client updates.
Ensure proper documentation for inspections, approvals, and handover including as‑built records, test certificates, and closure documents.
Support project close‑out activities including snag rectification, final inspections, and handover documentation.
5. Coordination & Communication
Liaise with project managers, designers, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution of works.
Attend coordination meetings and provide technical input on site constraints, sequencing, and resource planning.
Communicate site requirements, constraints, and progress updates clearly and professionally.
Qualifications & Skills
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in interior fit‑out or construction supervision.
Strong knowledge of interior materials, joinery, finishes, and MEP coordination.
Proficiency in reading drawings, preparing take-offs, and maintaining site documentation.
Familiarity with HSE standards, RAMS preparation, and safety compliance.
