Job Summary
We are looking for a technically skilled Vehicle Check-Up Technician to inspect company vehicles, identify damages or technical issues, and ensure that every vehicle is safe, clean, properly prepared, and ready for rental.
The technician will be responsible for carrying out vehicle check-ups, recording damages, updating vehicle statuses in the company system, and reporting any issues to the Check-Up Team Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect vehicles before and after each rental.
Check the exterior, interior, tyres, rims, lights, mirrors, glass, fluids, warning lights, and general vehicle condition.
Identify new damages, mechanical faults, missing items, and cleanliness issues.
Take clear photos and videos of vehicle condition and damages.
Accurately register all damages and vehicle conditions in the company system.
Update vehicle statuses, including:
Under check-up
Under preparation
Under maintenance
Damaged
Ready for rent
Stop rent
Inform the supervisor immediately about serious damage, warning lights, safety concerns, or mechanical problems.
Ensure unsafe or damaged vehicles are not released to customers.
Check fuel level, tyre pressure, battery condition, fluid levels, and basic vehicle functions.
Drive vehicles for refuelling, washing, maintenance, inspection, or parking when required.
Recheck vehicles that have remained unused for an extended period.
Verify previously recorded damages and report any unregistered damage.
Maintain inspection tools and keep the check-up area clean and organised.
Follow company inspection procedures and complete check-ups within the required time.
Coordinate with the preparation team, drivers, workshop, and supervisor.
Handle all vehicles carefully, especially luxury, sports, and high-value cars.
Requirements
Valid UAE driving licence.
Previous experience as a vehicle technician, inspector, mechanic assistant, fleet technician, or in a similar automotive role.
Good technical knowledge of vehicles.
Ability to identify body damage, paint damage, tyre issues, mechanical faults, and dashboard warning lights.
Basic English communication skills.
Ability to use smartphones, inspection applications, and company systems.
Good attention to detail.
Physically fit and able to inspect vehicles thoroughly.
Responsible, punctual, organised, and honest.
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a car rental company, workshop, dealership, or fleet operation.
Experience with luxury and sports vehicles.
Ability to drive both automatic and manual vehicles.
Basic Arabic communication skills.
Basic knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and maintenance.
