Golden Horse Car Service is hiring an experienced mechanic to carry out vehicle health checks, pre-purchase inspections and final checks on repairs completed by our workshop team. This role focuses on accurate findings and confirming that the customer’s original concern has been resolved.
Responsibilities
• Assess mechanical condition, including engine and transmission operation, brakes, tyres, steering, suspension, fluid leaks and AC performance.
• Use diagnostic equipment, live data and physical measurements to investigate faults. Identify when further specialist diagnosis is needed.
• Produce clear digital reports with photos, measurements and repair priorities. Record signs of previous damage and any limits to the inspection.
• Check completed work against the approved job card and record defects that require correction before handover.
• Carry out safe road tests when appropriate and verify the reported symptoms, warning lights, noises and vehicle behaviour after repair.
• Complete the final checklist, including vehicle cleanliness and condition. Escalate unresolved faults and document the result of the release check.
Requirements
• At least 5 years of practical automotive repair or diagnostic experience, including European or premium vehicles. Previous inspection or QC experience is preferred.
• Ability to distinguish a fault code from a confirmed diagnosis and to explain findings with evidence.
• Valid UAE driving licence and confident, responsible road-test skills.
• Working English and the ability to complete inspection reports on a tablet or computer.
