History: Ercuis was founded in 1867 by Adrien Celeste Pillon, a priest from Ercuis in the French department of Oise, north of Paris. In 1880 Ercuis opened their first shop in Paris. Simultaneously they moved away from religious works and towards decorative and artistic flatware and hollowware, which they became renowned for.
With evolving styles and trends Ercuis made a transition to more modern styles in 1969, introducing sleek designs to their expert level craftsmanship. Ercuis became an exclusive luxury French brand in 1978.
