The Passion Armchair has been created by Philippe Starck for the brand Cassina. This armchair showcases the brand's dedication to innovation and the designer's talent for timeless, simple elegance.

The Passion Armchair has a wide backrest and an equally well-sized seat. The sides of the backrest are raised and curved inwards to form armrests. The single shell that combines the seat, backrest and armrests eliminates the need for joints and fasteners which gives the armchair a sleek, clean profile. The shell is made of hardwearing nylon which is curved using a state-of-the-art manufacturing process. It is upholstered at the front with Scozia leather. It has a grain pattern etched onto it and is finished with a protective coating, pigment and polyurethane resin all of which serve to make it highly resistant to light that would cause fading and damage like scratches. It is also resistant to stains and easy to clean. The upholstery is finished with a pattern of buttons and squares. The shell rests on a frame that has made of tubular steel that is finished with chrome plating.
