Description

Popular NOS Variants & Manufacturers
• Voskhod "Rocket" Logo (6N1P-EV / 6N1P-EB): Widely considered the gold standard among audiophiles. The -EV (extended-life / military-spec) version features ruggedized construction, tinned pins, high shock/vibration resistance, lower microphonics, and a rated lifespan exceeding 5,000+ hours.
• Svetlana 6N1P: Another well-regarded Russian production line known for solid linearity and build quality.
• Comparison to New Production: Audiophiles on forums like Audiokarma generally favor vintage Soviet NOS variants (like Voskhod) over modern commercial Chinese 6N1 alternatives, citing lower noise floors, better openness, and superior long-term reliability.
Where to explore options includes specialty vendors like the Archive Tubes 6N1P NOS Tube on Apos Audio or matched sets via specialized suppliers like the Mellowtoneamps 6N1P Balanced Platinum Tube Set.
