TOM FORD Oud Wood Intense — Private Blend, Eau de Parfum, 50ml. Launched 2017, long discontinued. Brand new, factory sealed in cellophane.

The Intense flanker to the iconic 2007 Oud Wood — pulled from the range years ago and increasingly hard to find sealed. A cult pick among Private Blend collectors for taking the original somewhere darker, drier and more animalic.

The scent: oud framed by smoky cypress, juniper and bitter-green angelica root, with castoreum lending a leathery depth and a flicker of ginger. Bolder and more resinous than the standard Oud Wood — "often imitated, never duplicated," in Tom Ford's own words.
