Experienced and motivated Sales Engineer – Marine Division to develop and grow our marine spare parts and technical equipment business across the UAE and GCC. The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge of marine engines, auxiliary machinery, marine equipment, and spare parts used on commercial vessels, tugboats, yachts, offshore support vessels, and other marine craft.
The role combines technical expertise with business development to identify customer requirements, prepare quotations, negotiate contracts, and maintain long-term relationships with ship owners, ship managers, shipyards, yacht operators, and offshore companies.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop new business opportunities within the marine and offshore industry.
• Promote and sell marine engines, engine spare parts, deck machinery, electrical equipment, pumps, compressors, filters, valves, safety equipment, and other marine products.
• Visit ship owners, ship management companies, shipyards, ports, yacht marinas, and offshore operators to generate sales.
• Handle enquiries from commercial vessels, tugboats, yachts, barges, workboats, landing craft, offshore support vessels, and fishing vessels.
• Review technical specifications, drawings, and parts manuals to identify the correct spare parts.
• Prepare technical and commercial quotations.
• Follow up quotations until order confirmation.
• Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries.
• Maintain excellent relationships with existing customers and identify opportunities for repeat business.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with customers.
• Attend vessel inspections and customer meetings when required.
• Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to source genuine or equivalent marine spare parts.
• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
• Prepare weekly sales reports, pipeline updates, and market intelligence reports.
• Monitor competitors and identify new business opportunities.
