Job Summary:
The Sales / Estimation Officer is responsible for handling customer inquiries, preparing cost estimates and quotations, developing new business opportunities, and maintaining good relationships with clients. The role involves coordinating with suppliers and internal departments to ensure accurate pricing, timely submission of quotations, and achievement of sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle customer inquiries and identify potential sales opportunities.
Prepare cost estimates, quotations, and commercial proposals based on client requirements.
Review drawings, BOQs, specifications, and other project documents, where applicable.
Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors and compare prices.
Calculate material costs, labor costs, overheads, and profit margins.
Follow up with clients on submitted quotations and negotiate prices and terms within company guidelines.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
Coordinate with procurement, technical, and operations teams to ensure accurate costing and timely delivery.
Maintain records of inquiries, quotations, sales orders, and customer information.
Monitor market prices and competitor activities to identify business opportunities.
Achieve assigned sales targets and support the company's business growth.
Prepare sales and estimation reports for management.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Diploma or bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Previous experience in sales, estimation, or a related position is preferred.
Good knowledge of cost estimation, quotation preparation, and pricing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and email communication.
Good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational abilities.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
