Castaway Marine Activities is a brand-new retail destination dedicated to fishing, boating, and marine outdoor activities. We provide high-quality tackle, gear, and expertise to local anglers and marine enthusiasts. We are looking for a reliable, energetic, and knowledgeable Sales Associate to join our founding team and help us build a welcoming community for ocean lovers.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Support: Welcome customers warmly, understand their fishing or marine needs, and recommend the correct rods, reels, lures, baits, or accessories.
Store Operations: Open and close the shop, operate the point-of-sale (POS) system, process payments accurately, and handle cash/card balancing.
Inventory Management: Restock shelves, label new inventory, monitor stock levels, and alert management when popular items are running low.
Visual Merchandising: Maintain highly organized, visually appealing displays for rods, tackle boxes, and apparel so products are easy for customers to browse.
Maintenance: Ensure the shop floor, counters, and storage areas are kept clean, safe, and presentable at all times.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years in retail sales (experience in outdoor, sports, or marine retail is a major plus).
Marine Knowledge: A strong personal interest or basic knowledge of fishing (saltwater/local regional fishing), boating, or marine activities is highly preferred.
Skills: Excellent communication skills, basic math for handling transactions, and comfort using modern iPad or computer-based POS systems.
Attributes: Reliable, honest, proactive, and capable of working flexible retail hours (including weekends and holidays).
Language: Fluency in English is required; Arabic or other languages is an advantage.
