We are seeking an organised and commercially minded Hypermarket Merchandiser to make sure products are available, correctly displayed, and attractively presented across a large-format store. Reporting to the Merchandising Manager, Category Manager, or Department Manager, the successful candidate will execute planograms, promotions, and display standards so that products sell well on the shelf and the floor looks consistent, full, and easy to shop.
The core of the role is planogram and shelf execution. The Hypermarket Merchandiser arranges products on shelves, gondolas, chillers, and promotional fixtures according to approved planograms, ensuring the correct facings, product placement, and price labels. Because a hypermarket carries a very wide range, the merchandiser works through assigned categories on a planned schedule, resets shelves when ranges change, and keeps products faced, aligned, and fully stocked throughout the day. Where a planogram cannot be followed because of space or range differences, the merchandiser adapts sensibly and records the reason.
