We are seeking a versatile and customer-focused Supermarket Associate to support daily store operations across the sales floor. Reporting to the Department Supervisor or Store Manager, the successful candidate will move between stocking, customer service, and department support as trading demands, keeping the store running smoothly and customers well looked after throughout their shift.
The core of the role is shelf and department upkeep. The Supermarket Associate replenishes shelves, gondolas, and displays according to the planogram, faces products forward, and keeps assigned aisles clean, organised, and fully stocked throughout the shift. Fast-moving items are prioritised during peak trading hours, and empty or low-stock sections are reported or refilled promptly. Stock is rotated on a FIFO basis, with expiry dates checked regularly and damaged, expired, or unsaleable items removed and recorded in line with procedure.
