Job Summary
Responsible for selling and distributing company products directly to customers using a company-provided delivery van. The Van Salesman is responsible for developing customer relationships, achieving sales targets, collecting payments, maintaining stock records, and ensuring timely delivery of products.
Key Responsibilities
1. Visit existing and potential customers according to the assigned daily sales route.
2. Promote and sell company products to retail shops, supermarkets, groceries, restaurants, and other customers.
3. Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
4. Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
5. Load, unload, and arrange products in the delivery van properly.
6. Check stock quantities and ensure accurate inventory records.
7. Collect cash and cheque payments from customers and submit collections to the accounts department.
8. Prepare sales invoices, delivery notes, and receipts.
9. Monitor product expiry dates and ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO).
10. Handle customer complaints and coordinate with the sales supervisor for resolution.
11. Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of the company vehicle.
12. Follow UAE traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures.
13. Submit daily sales reports, stock reports, and cash collection reports.
14. Ensure proper handling of company products and minimize damages, losses, and shortages.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid UAE Manual Driving Licence (preferably Light Vehicle).
- Previous experience as a Van Salesman or FMCG Salesman is preferred.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Basic knowledge of sales, invoicing, and cash handling.
- Ability to achieve sales targets and work independently.
- Knowledge of UAE roads and locations.
- Honest, responsible, and customer-oriented.
- Basic English communication skills; Arabic or other languages are an advantage.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Monthly sales target achievement.
- Number of new customers acquired.
- Customer retention and satisfaction.
- Daily sales and collection performance.
- Stock accuracy and product wastage control.
- Timely submission of sales and collection reports.
- Vehicle maintenance and safe driving.
