Job Title: Commercial Manager – Steel Trading
Location: Dubai, UAE
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Commercial Manager to lead our steel trading business and drive regional market expansion. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the steel industry, a strong commercial background, and an established network of customers across the GCC and Africa.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute commercial strategies to grow steel sales across the GCC and African markets.
Manage and expand relationships with existing customers while identifying new business opportunities.
Handle international trading activities, including import/export operations, shipping, and logistics coordination.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, payment terms, and Letters of Credit (LC).
Monitor market trends, steel pricing, and competitor activities.
Coordinate with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal teams to ensure timely execution of orders.
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing commercial team.
Achieve sales targets and contribute to the company's long-term growth strategy.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum 10 years of experience in the steel industry.
Strong technical and commercial knowledge of Rebar, Billet, Wire Rod, and other steel products.
Established customer relationships across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, and Africa.
Extensive experience in international steel trading, import/export, shipping, Letters of Credit (LC), pricing, and commercial negotiations.
Proven track record in business development and achieving sales growth.
Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to develop and lead a commercial organization.
Preferred Qualifications
Existing network of steel buyers, distributors, contractors, manufacturers, and traders.
Demonstrated success in expanding regional markets and managing key accounts.
