Agriculture Engineer – Landscaping & Nursery Operations
📍 Dubai, UAE | Full-Time
💰 Salary: AED 2,000 – AED 6,000 (Based on experience)
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Agriculture Engineer to join our growing landscaping and nursery operations team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have experience in horticulture, landscaping, nursery management, or agricultural projects, with a strong passion for plant care, sustainability, and modern green infrastructure solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor plant health and identify pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies
• Manage nursery operations including propagation, pruning, watering, and fertilization
• Support landscaping projects, irrigation systems, and soil preparation activities
• Implement sustainable plant care and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices
• Supervise irrigation, drainage, and water-efficient systems
• Conduct quality inspections to maintain high plant standards
• Maintain inventory records and coordinate plant procurement
• Supervise field staff and ensure proper maintenance and safety practices
• Coordinate with suppliers, project teams, consultants, and landscape professionals
• Ensure compliance with UAE municipality regulations, environmental standards, and landscaping guidelines where applicable
Requirements
• B.E. / B.Tech in Agriculture or related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in landscaping, nursery operations, horticulture, or agriculture
• Strong knowledge of plant care, irrigation systems, soil management, and fertilization
• Familiarity with pest and disease control practices
• Basic understanding of agricultural systems, landscaping operations, and irrigation infrastructure
• Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage)
• Ability to work in outdoor and field environments
• UAE driving license is a plus
Preferred Qualifications & Certifications
• Knowledge of sustainable and water-efficient landscaping
• Experience with indoor plants, rooftop gardens, or vertical gardens
• Familiarity with irrigation automation systems
• Awareness of UAE municipality regulations and environmental compliance requirements related to landscaping and nursery operations
• Familiarity with Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE) regulations and permit procedures is an advantage
• Professional certifications in horticulture, irrigation, landscaping, pest management, or sustainable agriculture are preferred
• Membership or registration with recognized agricultural, horticultural, or engineering professional bodies is a plus
• Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional accreditation will be considered an added advantage
• Knowledge of municipality approvals, pesticide handling permits, or agriculture-related licensing requirements in the UAE is beneficial
