Job Summary
MNZ Tailors is seeking a dynamic, highly experienced Garment Production Manager to oversee daily workshop and factory manufacturing operations at our International City location. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in industrial apparel production, team leadership (managing tailors, cutting masters, and QC staff), line efficiency, workflow scheduling, and delivering high-quality custom and bulk orders on strict deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Scheduling: Allocate orders, establish daily output targets, and manage production timelines across custom tailoring and bulk runs.
Team Leadership & Workflow: Manage and supervise tailors, pattern masters, cutting teams, and quality control staff to ensure high productivity and seamless floor operations.
Quality Assurance & Standards: Enforce strict quality control checks at every stage (cutting, stitching, finishing, packing) to minimize rework and defect rates.
Material & Inventory Control: Coordinate with cutting masters and inventory handlers to monitor fabric usage, manage trims/accessories, and minimize material wastage.
Process Optimization: Streamline floor layouts, assembly lines, and labor allocation to increase overall workshop yield and shorten order turnaround times.
Reporting & Coordination: Report directly to executive leadership on production status, capacity utilization, labor efficiency, and output bottlenecks.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience: 5–10+ years of direct experience managing garment production, tailoring workshops, or apparel manufacturing facilities.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage, motivate, and direct a diverse team of 20+ tailors, cutters, and technical personnel.
Technical Knowledge: Deep practical understanding of garment assembly, pattern cutting, fabric properties, machinery maintenance, and industrial QA processes.
Languages: Working knowledge of English (Urdu, Hindi, or Arabic is highly advantageous for floor management).
Location: Based in or able to commute daily to International City, Dubai.
