Key responsibilities
Preventive maintenance
• Carry out scheduled PPM on all branch equipment and building systems
• Clean and inspect condenser coils, filters, gaskets, drains and burners on a set cycle
• Identify worn parts early and flag them before they fail
Kitchen equipment and refrigeration
• Troubleshoot and repair deck, convection and combi ovens, proofers, mixers, sheeters, fryers, griddles and dishwashers
• Maintain walk-in chillers and freezers, reach-ins, display chillers and ice machines
• Check gas appliances, flame failure devices and LPG connections, and escalate any safety issue immediately
MEP and building services
• Handle first-line electrical faults, including breakers, sockets, lighting and DB checks
• Fix plumbing issues: leaks, blockages, water heaters, filters and grease traps
• Maintain split and ducted AC units, kitchen exhaust hoods and fresh-air fans
• Carry out minor civil and carpentry repairs: tiles, ceilings, doors, locks and furniture
Contractors and compliance
• Attend AMC visits (HVAC, fire, pest control, hood cleaning, grease traps) and verify the work before sign-off
• Keep fire extinguishers, emergency lighting and hood suppression systems inspection-ready
Records and inventory
• Log every job with the asset, fault, action and parts used
• Track spare parts and consumables at each branch
• Report recurring faults and recommend whether to repair or replace
Requirements
• 3+ years of maintenance experience in restaurants, bakeries, hotels or central kitchens
• Hands-on experience with commercial kitchen equipment and refrigeration systems
• Working knowledge of low-voltage electrical, plumbing and AC systems
• Ability to read basic electrical and plumbing drawings
• Valid UAE driving licence
• Good spoken English
Preferred
• UAE experience in the food and beverage sector
• Refrigerant handling or HVAC certification
• Familiarity with Civil Defence and municipality requirements for food outlets
• Basic computer skills for digital checklists and photo reports
Working conditions
• Daily travel between branches in Abu Dhabi,Dubai,Sharjah and Ajman
• Work in hot kitchens, cold rooms, ceiling voids and on rooftops
• Night or early-morning shifts to avoid disrupting service
• On-call rotation for urgent breakdowns
