Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and technically capable Project Engineer – Electrical & Mechanical to join our team in Abu Dhabi.
The ideal candidate should have knowledge and/or practical experience in Fire Alarm, Fire Fighting, or Fire Stop systems. Exposure to AMC, fit-out, and other Fire & Life Safety projects will be an added advantage.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and coordinating project execution, installation, testing & commissioning, maintenance activities, inspections, documentation, and project handover while ensuring compliance with project specifications, applicable safety standards, and Abu Dhabi Civil Defence (ADCD) requirements.
Fresh graduates with relevant technical knowledge in Fire & Life Safety systems, as well as experienced candidates, are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and monitor Electrical and Mechanical project activities from commencement through completion.
Provide technical and site support for the installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Fire Alarm and Fire Fighting systems.
Coordinate Fire Stop works and related site activities where applicable.
Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, site teams, technicians, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Monitor project progress and ensure activities are completed according to approved schedules and project requirements.
Conduct regular site visits, inspections, and follow-ups to ensure quality and timely completion of works.
Review engineering drawings, specifications, BOQs, and other technical documentation.
Assist in preparing material requirements, technical submittals, reports, inspection requests, and project documentation.
Coordinate AMC activities, corrective maintenance, fit-out works, and system modification requirements.
Ensure site activities comply with applicable safety procedures, approved drawings, technical specifications, and Civil Defence requirements.
Support testing, commissioning, authority inspections, and rectification of observations.
Maintain proper project records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinate project handover, as-built documentation, completion reports, and close-out activities.
Provide timely updates to management regarding project progress, technical issues, material requirements, and site constraints.
Candidate Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
Knowledge or experience in Fire Alarm, Fire Fighting, and/or Fire Stop systems is preferred.
Fresh graduates with relevant academic or technical knowledge are welcome to apply.
UAE experience in Fire & Life Safety, AMC, MEP, or Fit-Out projects will be an advantage.
Basic understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical documentation.
Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Ability and willingness to work at project sites and coordinate with field teams.
Basic knowledge of MS Office applications.
Familiarity with Abu Dhabi Civil Defence requirements will be an added advantage.
UAE Driving Licence is an added advantage.
