Dubai-based growing contemporary womenswear brand specialising in body-conscious silhouettes, sculpted fits, draping, asymmetry and limited-edition pieces.
We are looking for an experienced Pattern Maker / Master Cutter to develop new designs from concept to finished sample.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Create accurate patterns from sketches, reference images and design ideas
• Develop perfectly fitted, body-contouring silhouettes
• Perform draping directly on the mannequin
• Cut fabrics accurately and minimise fabric waste
• Sew first samples and assist with garment construction
• Conduct fittings and correct patterns until the desired fit is achieved
• Prepare and organise final production-ready patterns
• Work closely with the brand founder throughout the development process
REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in pattern making and cutting
• Strong experience in contemporary womenswear, luxury ready-to-wear or eveningwear
• Excellent understanding of pattern construction, draping, fitting and garment finishing
• Experience with stretch jersey, satin, chiffon, sequins and delicate fabrics
• Ability to create patterns from sketches, photographs and design concepts
• Experience creating fitted dresses, skirts, tops, trousers and structured garments
• Ability to sew a complete first sample independently
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to solve fitting and construction issues
• Portfolio or clear photographs of previous work are required
Experience limited to basic alterations, uniforms, abayas or traditional clothing will not be sufficient for this position.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview and portfolio review. A paid practical assessment will be arranged at a fully equipped workspace during the final selection stage.
