Job Description
A growing renovation and technical services company based in Dubai is seeking a Junior Architectural & MEP Draftsman to support our residential and commercial renovation projects.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical drafting skills, 3D visualisation capabilities, and practical knowledge of architectural and MEP installations.
The position offers a flexible work-from-home arrangement, combined with regular site visits across Dubai and material sourcing across Dubai, Sharjah and potentially other Emirates.
Key Responsibilities
1. Architectural & MEP Drawings
* Prepare architectural drawings, floor plans, elevations, sections and detailed shop drawings.
* Develop electrical, plumbing, drainage and HVAC drawings.
* Prepare as-built drawings and update drawings based on site conditions.
* Coordinate architectural and MEP drawings to identify potential conflicts.
2. 3D Modelling & Visualisation
* Develop 3D models and realistic renderings.
* Prepare visual presentations for clients.
* Translate design concepts into accurate technical drawings.
3. Site Inspections & Technical Coordination
* Conduct site measurements and technical surveys.
* Perform regular site inspections across Dubai to verify compliance with drawings and specifications.
* Identify technical issues and propose practical solutions.
* Coordinate technical requirements with site workers and subcontractors.
4. Material Sourcing & Documentation
* Research and source construction materials, fixtures and finishes across Dubai, Sharjah and other Emirates when required.
* Liaise with suppliers and obtain quotations.
* Prepare material schedules, quantities and BOQs.
* Assist with technical documentation required for building management and authority approvals.
Requirements
* Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, MEP Engineering or a related field.
* 1–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in UAE renovation or interior fit-out projects.
* Excellent proficiency in AutoCAD.
* Proficiency in SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max or equivalent 3D modelling software.
* Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, drainage and HVAC systems.
* Ability to prepare accurate architectural and MEP shop drawings.
* Good understanding of construction materials and installation methods.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and attend site visits across Dubai.
* Good communication skills in English.
* Valid UAE driving licence and own car are highly preferred.
