We are Hiring a Joinery Technical Coordinator to sit between design, client and workshop, so every non-joinery component – stone, glass, mirror, metal, hardware, lighting, upholstery, finishes – arrives on the floor correctly specified, on time, and ready to fit.

Why this role exists
Our carpenters are excellent at joinery and are currently also chasing stone cutters, glass suppliers, metal fabricators and hardware deliveries. That slows the workshop and lets specification errors through. This role takes the whole non-joinery side off the carpenters, so they build to a complete drawing with every bought-in part already on the floor.
You are the single person who knows, for every live job, exactly what the client and designer specified and whether what has been ordered matches it.
Key responsibilities
Specification capture
• Read client drawings, mood boards and designer specs and extract every non-joinery component into a written spec sheet per job.
• Confirm ambiguous items with the client or designer in writing before anything is ordered: stone type and thickness, edge profile, glass thickness and tint, mirror type and bevel, metal finish and gauge, hinge and runner model, LED colour temperature, fabric reference.
• Flag anything in the design that cannot be built or sourced as drawn, with an alternative, before production starts.
Buy-out schedule and procurement
• Build a buy-out schedule for each job: item, spec, supplier, lead time, order date, required-on-floor date.
• Request quotations, compare, and place orders with approved suppliers; negotiate lead times to match the production plan.
• Arrange supplier site measures for templated items (stone tops, glass, mirrors) and check their templates against our shop drawings.
Shop drawings and technical checks
• Brief the AutoCAD draftsman on every bought-in component so shop drawings allow for real thicknesses, tolerances and fixing methods.
• Review shop drawings before release to the floor; sign off that joinery dimensions and bought-in parts agree.
• Keep a hardware and materials library (Blum, Hettich, Häfele, stone, glass, metal finishes) with current prices and lead times.
Production readiness
• Track every job's bought-in items daily; chase, expedite and re-sequence production when a supplier slips.
• Receive and inspect deliveries against the spec sheet before they reach the carpenters; reject and reorder anything wrong.
• Run a short daily check with the foreman on what each bench needs tomorrow.
Quality and handover
• Inspect finished pieces against the client spec before delivery and installation.
• Attend installations where bought-in items meet joinery on site, and resolve fit issues with the supplier.
• Close each job with an as-built spec sheet filed for warranty and repeat orders.

Veneers, lacquer and hardwax oil, laminates, architectural film; sample approval and colour matching
Requirements
• 5 or more years in joinery, interior fit-out or furniture manufacturing in the UAE, in a technical office, project coordination or production planning role.
• Can read architectural and joinery drawings fluently and draw or mark up in AutoCAD; SketchUp useful.
• Hands-on knowledge of the materials and hardware above, including which Dubai suppliers to call for each.
• Comfortable in Excel or Google Sheets for schedules and tracking; disciplined with WhatsApp and email records.
• Fluent English, spoken and written, for designers and clients; Hindi or Urdu for the workshop floor; Arabic is a plus.
• Organised, calm under deadline pressure, and willing to say no to a drawing that cannot be built as drawn.
• UAE driving licence, for supplier and site visits
Nice to have
• Background in a fit-out contractor's technical office or a furniture factory's planning department.
• Estimating experience: can cost bought-in items and spot where a spec change moves the price.
• Familiarity with hotel, restaurant and villa fit-out standards and submittal processes.
• Basic understanding of CNC nesting so bought-in parts are sized to our panel workflow.
What success looks like in the first 90 days
• Every live job has a written spec sheet and buy-out schedule, and the foreman can see both.
• No carpenter stops work to chase a supplier; all bought-in items are on the floor before the bench needs them.
• Zero reorders caused by a wrong spec that was not confirmed in writing.
• A hardware and materials library exists with suppliers, prices and lead times, and the draftsman uses it.
• Clients and designers deal with one named person for technical questions on their job.
