Maintenance In-Charge / Senior Maintenance Engineer (Fit-Out & MEP)
Location: Dubai, UAE
A leading Interior Fit-Out & MEP contracting company in Dubai is looking for an experienced Maintenance In-Charge / Senior Maintenance Engineer to lead and expand our Maintenance Division.
The ideal candidate should have extensive UAE experience in maintenance operations, defect liability management, client coordination, and business development for maintenance services.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the complete Maintenance Division independently.
Handle all defects and snag rectification works during the Defect Liability Period (DLP) for completed fit-out projects.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure timely closure of maintenance issues.
Follow up with clients and ensure the timely release and collection of retention payments upon successful completion of DLP obligations.
Conduct site surveys for maintenance enquiries and prepare technical assessments.
Prepare quotations for miscellaneous Civil, Interior, MEP, and repair works.
Plan, schedule, and supervise maintenance teams and subcontractors.
Ensure maintenance works are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities for additional maintenance and repair works.
Generate revenue by securing new maintenance contracts and small works projects.
Monitor departmental performance, profitability, and operational efficiency.
Prepare maintenance reports, cost estimates, work schedules, and documentation.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 6–8 years of UAE experience in building maintenance, MEP, and interior fit-out maintenance operations.
Proven experience managing maintenance operations independently.
Strong knowledge of Civil, Interior Fit-Out, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Fire Fighting, and ELV maintenance works.
Experience in defect liability management and retention release coordination.
Excellent client management, negotiation, and communication skills.
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to prepare quotations and generate maintenance business.
Ability to lead teams, manage multiple projects, and work under pressure.
Valid UAE Driving Licence is mandatory.
