Accounts In-Charge – Interior Fit-Out Company (Dubai, UAE)
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
We are a well-established Interior Fit-Out and MEP contracting company in Dubai looking for an experienced and proactive Accounts In-Charge to lead our finance and accounting operations.
The ideal candidate should have solid experience in the UAE construction or interior fit-out industry and be capable of independently managing the company's complete accounting function while leading a small finance team.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the complete accounting operations of the company.
Oversee Accounts Receivable (AR) and ensure timely collection of customer payments.
Manage Accounts Payable (AP), supplier payments, and vendor reconciliations.
Handle petty cash, employee reimbursements, and cash flow monitoring.
Process payroll and employee-related payments.
Manage advance payments, retention accounts, and project-related financial transactions.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and monitor banking activities.
Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with UAE Federal Tax Authority regulations.
Assist in Corporate Tax compliance, reporting, and documentation.
Prepare monthly management reports, including project-wise profitability and cost analysis.
Prepare financial statements, cash flow reports, budget monitoring, and MIS reports for management.
Coordinate with auditors, banks, clients, suppliers, and government authorities when required.
Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with company policies and UAE regulations.
Lead, supervise, and mentor junior accountants while coordinating effectively with project managers, procurement, HR, and other internal departments.
Continuously improve accounting procedures and internal controls.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
Minimum 5–8 years of UAE accounting experience, preferably in an Interior Fit-Out, MEP, or Construction company.
Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations.
Experience with project accounting and job costing.
Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP is highly preferred; experience with other ERP systems will also be considered.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial reporting.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills in English.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle multiple priorities.
Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop a finance team.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CMA, CPA, CA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
UAE driving licence is an advantage but not mandatory.
