Key Responsibilities
* Manage the full accounting cycle, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing.
* Review and verify accounting records and reports.
* Analyze trades profitability and financial performance.
* Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and IFRS
* Monitor inventory, shipments, and stock movements.
* Verify purchasing activities, supplier invoices, and operational costs.
* Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly management reports.
* Identify unusual expenses, financial risks, and opportunities for cost optimization.
* Provide accurate financial insights and recommendations directly to management.
* Work closely with the existing accounting team while maintaining independent reporting to the owners.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or auditing.
* Experience in commodity trading, international trading, logistics, or import/export businesses is highly preferred.
* Demonstrated experience managing year-end audits and working directly with external auditors.
* Experience handling company license renewals, regulatory compliance, and government-related documentation in the UAE.
* Strong analytical and reporting skills.
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Tally ERP mandatory).
* ACCA, CPA, CMA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
* Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage
