Account Assistant – Accounts Receivable
Location: Dubai, UAE
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Account Assistant – Accounts Receivable to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing customer accounts, ensuring timely collection of receivables, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the finance department in daily accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and issue customer invoices and credit notes.
Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding payments.
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.
Record customer receipts and allocate payments accurately.
Prepare Accounts Receivable aging reports.
Coordinate with the sales team and customers regarding payment issues.
Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
Assist with month-end closing activities and financial reporting.
Support audits by providing required documentation.
Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or a similar accounting role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (SAP Business One experience is an advantage).
Good understanding of accounting principles.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills
Experience with customer collections.
Knowledge of VAT regulations in the UAE.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
