Temporary Accountant (3-Month Contract)
We are seeking an experienced Accountant for a temporary 3-month engagement (August–October) to manage end-to-end accounting operations, financial reporting, inventory control, and UAE VAT compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare financial statements and perform month-end closing activities.
Manage the general ledger, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
Oversee accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and cash flow management.
Reconcile POS sales and account balances.
Supervise stock-taking and inventory valuation for gold, diamonds, and gemstones.
Monitor inventory movements and investigate stock variances.
Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and support internal and external audits.
Prepare sales, gross margin, and inventory analysis reports.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CA Inter preferred).
3–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in the jewellery, gold, retail, or wholesale industry.
Strong knowledge of inventory accounting and ERP/POS systems.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and analytical skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
