Job Overview
We are seeking a full-time, Dubai-based E-commerce Accountant to manage the financial operations of our Noon & Amazon stores. This role focuses strictly on marketplace financial reconciliation, payout tracking, cost accounting, and profitability analysis. You will handle everything from day-to-day Noon & Amazon financial reconciliations to strategic tax compliance (VAT and UAE Corporate Tax) and company payroll via WPS. You will manage the entire financial lifecycle of our business.
Key Responsibilities
Marketplace Financial Reconciliation
• Reconcile weekly Noon payments & bi-weekly Amazon payouts against actual UAE sales reports.
• Audit and match marketplace disbursements with UAE bank statements to identify missing funds.
• Track and reconcile customer returns, refunds, and marketplace reimbursement claims.
Fee Auditing & Dispute Management
• Monitor, audit, and categorize all marketplace fees including referral, storage, and fulfillment fees FBN/FBA (Fulfilled by Noon / Fulfilled by Amazon).
• Identify overcharges or discrepancies in storage cubics and weight fees.
• File and follow up on financial disputes and claims with Noon & Amazon support teams.
• Audit all marketplace fees (referral, storage, FBA/FBN fees) and file financial disputes with Noon & Amazon support.
Inventory & Cost Accounting
• Calculate accurate Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) in AED for all products listed across both platforms.
• Track financial losses from damaged, lost, or destroyed inventory in UAE FBA and FBN warehouses.
• Account for inbound shipping fees, customs duties, and clearing costs for inventory shipments into the UAE.
Taxation & Financial Reporting
• Manage the VAT Registration process and ensure timely VAT Filing with the Federal Tax Authority (FTA).
• Oversee Corporate Tax Registration and lead the execution of annual Corporate Tax Filing in compliance with UAE Ministry of Finance laws.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly VAT reports compliant with Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations in the UAE.
• Generate exact profit-and-loss (P&L) statements per product, SKU, and marketplace channel.
• Maintain clean financial ledgers and spreadsheets ready for corporate audits.
Payroll & Core Accounting Operations
• Manage employee payroll compliance using the Wages Protection System (WPS).
• Process monthly vendor payments, office utility bills, and petty cash expenses.
Required Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of pure accounting experience specifically handling Noon Partners & Amazon Seller Central.
• Fulfillment Systems: Strong grasp of financial reporting differences between FBN/FBA (Fulfilled by Noon / Fulfilled by Amazon) and cross-dock/direct-ship models.
• Sole Contributor Skillset: Proven capability to manage an entire company's accounting function independently without supervision.
• UAE Tax Expertise: Practical experience with FTA portal operations, VAT filings, and up-to-date knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax rules.
• Tax Knowledge: Strong understanding of UAE VAT laws regarding e-commerce transactions and marketplace payouts.
• Location: Must be based in Dubai.
