Accountant – Plant Nursery & Agricultural Operations

We specialize in indoor and outdoor plants, trees, palms, and shrubs, operating a nursery at Warsan Plants Market, Dubai, with farms in Al Ain, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain.
We are seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on Accountant to maintain accurate financial records, manage daily accounting operations, and ensure proper inventory and cash control across our business operations. The successful candidate will report directly to the Accounts Manager and be based at our Warsan nursery, with occasional visits to our farms for physical stock counts and inventory verification.
Key Responsibilities
General Accounting
Record and maintain daily financial transactions using BUSY Accounting Software.
Maintain accurate books of accounts and ensure timely recording of all transactions.
Perform monthly bank, customer, and supplier reconciliations.
Manage intercompany and interbranch transactions, reconciliations, and settlements.
Handle daily cash management, petty cash, and verification of supporting documents.
Monitor bank balances, cash movements, and payment records.
Inventory & Cost Control
Maintain accurate inventory records for plants, trees, palms, shrubs, and related materials.
Monitor stock movements, transfers, purchases, and sales across the nursery and farms.
Calculate and allocate landed costs for imported plants and other inventory items.
Record stock adjustments, write-offs, and inventory discrepancies with proper documentation.
Coordinate and conduct periodic physical stock counts at the nursery and farms.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in the UAE.
Hands-on experience with BUSY or Tally Accounting Software.
Good command of Microsoft Excel and reconciliation techniques.
Practical knowledge of bank reconciliation, inventory accounting, cash management, and intercompany/interbranch transactions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
Must be currently based in the UAE and available to join immediately.
Additional Advantages
Experience handling accounts for multiple companies or business locations.
Knowledge of inventory costing, import landed costs, and stock control.
Proficiency in Arabic, Urdu, or Hindi.
Valid UAE driving licence.
Part-qualified ACCA, CMA, CA, or an equivalent professional qualification.
