Job Title: Accountant
Experience: Minimum 2+ years of UAE experience
Employment Type: Full-time
Location: UAE
Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with at least 3 years of UAE experience to manage the company's day-to-day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
Handle bank reconciliations, supplier payments, customer collections, and petty cash.
Manage VAT calculations, return preparation, and filing in compliance with UAE FTA regulations.
Assist with corporate tax calculations, filing, and compliance.
Monitor cash flow, budgets, and outstanding receivables and payables.
Ensure accurate maintenance of accounting records, invoices, and supporting documents.
Coordinate with external auditors and assist with annual audits.
Prepare payroll and manage employee salary records, including WPS where applicable.
Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards and applicable tax regulations.
Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as required.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in the UAE.
Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and corporate tax regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Good understanding of financial reporting, bank reconciliation, and general accounting principles.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Good Understanding of Banking Instruments
Handle banking transactions and documentation, including letters of credit (LCs), bank guarantees, cheques, and other banking instruments.
Liaise with banks regarding payment processing, trade finance facilities, and banking documentation.
High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Good communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in trading, manufacturing, or contracting companies.
Experience dealing with UAE banks, auditors, and tax authorities.
Professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CMA, or CPA are an advantage.
