I am writing to express my interest in the Library Assistant / Assistant Librarian position at your esteemed institution. I hold a Master of Library and Information Science (MLISc) along with a Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science, and I am eager to contribute my knowledge, skills, and enthusiasm to your library team.
My academic background has been complemented by practical experience as a Library Intern at Sacred Heart College, where I gained hands-on experience in cataloguing, classification, circulation services, shelving, library documentation, and assisting students and faculty with information retrieval. I also completed my Library Trainee experience at St. Teresa’s College, where I supported digitization projects, maintained library databases, and assisted with reference services.
In addition to my library experience, I worked as an Administrative Assistant at EMCAN Educational Institute in Dubai. This role strengthened my organizational, communication, documentation, and data management skills while enhancing my ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced educational environment.
I am proficient in KOHA Library Management System, DSpace Digital Repository, MS Office applications, digital documentation, and database management. I am highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent library and information services while creating a welcoming environment for library users.
I currently reside in Dubai on a Husband Visa and am available for immediate joining. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my qualifications and experience can contribute to your institution’s goals.
