Plesel Artilahon Lapay began her domestic work career in the Philippines, working as a housemaid in Makati, Manila from February 2001 to September 2003, where she handled kitchen cleaning, waste disposal, and laundry duties including washing, drying, and folding bedding and towels. She then moved to Qatar, working as a housemaid in Doha from May 2012 to May 2014, maintaining carpets and rugs through shampooing and vacuuming, cleaning floors and surfaces, and washing windows and walls while polishing woodwork as needed.
In September 2015, Plesel transitioned to working in Sharjah, UAE, where she served as a housemaid until 2019 before taking on a nanny position at Al Taawon Street Al Habtoor Tower from September 2019 to March 2022. During her nanny role, she performed household chores including sweeping, dishwashing, and children's laundry while maintaining a clean home environment and caring for pets and plants. She describes herself as patient with the ability to remain calm in stressful situations, thorough with attention to detail, and adaptable to working in multicultural environments. After completing caregiver training at the Filipino Institute from 2022-2023, she transitioned to restaurant work, though her extensive background spans over two decades in domestic care roles.
