Dear Hiring Manager,

With nearly nine years of experience in banking and financial services across the UAE and Sri Lanka, I have developed strong expertise in payment processing, merchant settlement, transaction reconciliation, and operational risk management.
In my recent role as Senior Officer – Merchant Settlement at Network International (Magnati), Abu Dhabi, I was responsible for investigating and processing payment scheme and Fiserv reject within SLA timelines, reconciling UAE Funds Transfer System (UAEFTS) transactions, reviewing general ledger entries, and processing scheme-related transactions across CUP, NPCI, Maestro, Alipay+, and WeChat. My responsibilities also included merchant settlement, refunds, financial reporting, and supporting audit and compliance requirements.
Previously, I gained valuable experience in card operations and settlement at Hatton National Bank PLC, where I handled Visa and Mastercard settlement and reconciliation, chargebacks, disputes, reversals, and cross-border payments through SWIFT and CEFT. These experiences have strengthened my analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage high-volume transactions while meeting operational deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
I am also experienced in collaborating with Finance, Treasury, Risk, and IT teams to resolve discrepancies, improve operational processes, and maintain compliance with AML/KYC requirements and internal controls. In addition, I am currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Staffordshire University, further developing my business and leadership capabilities.
