The Adam Professional Audio F5 2-Way Active Nearfield Studio Monitor is a nearfield solution for recording, mixing and mastering music, film, video and other scenarios that require vertical studio audio monitoring. The F5 features an ART tweeter that delivers extended frequency response up to 50 kHz, resulting in pristine, detailed and accurate high frequencies that are well suited for high-resolution audio of 96 and 192 kHz. The tweeter and mid-woofer are independently amplified with 25W amplifiers driving both the mid-woofer and the ART tweeter. There are balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA connections on the rear, along with a power switch and volume control dial. Can have a subwoofer added if necessary.

The F5 Speaker
The F5 is the smaller of the nearfield monitors in the F-series and has been designed for listening environments with somewhat limited space.. Can be used as main reference monitors for a home studio.. Sound is balanced and has good imaging with auto-shut down feature. These are excellent speakers and produce better sound than speakers twice this price. IWhen connected these to my Sonos system, I have been amazed how clear and true their sound is. They are well kept AV secret, for this price.

Tweeter
The F models feature a freshly designed version of Adam's highly acclaimed ART tweeter. Slightly smaller than the X-ART tweeter, it is the next step in their continuous evolution in tweeter design

Mid-Woofer
As the name suggests, the F5 sports a 5" woofer made from carbon fiber and paper, as well as a 25mm voice coil. Despite the size of both the woofer and the cabinet, the F5 is capable of an astounding deep yet tight bass response

Controls
Several rear panels controls adjust the monitors to the environment including: two room equalizers for the high (>5 kHz) and the low (<300 Hz) frequencies, as well as a volume knob (-∞ to +6 dB)
