The Ubiquiti UCG-Fiber, commercially known as the UniFi Cloud Gateway Fiber, is a high-performance compact Cloud Gateway designed for offices, businesses, branch locations, advanced home networks, and professional UniFi deployments requiring 10 Gigabit networking, multi-WAN routing, advanced security, and integrated UniFi application hosting.
The UCG-Fiber combines an integrated 4-port 2.5GbE switch with high-speed 10G connectivity. Its port layout includes 4 × 2.5GbE RJ45 ports, 1 × 10GbE RJ45 interface, and 2 × 10G SFP+ interfaces. One of the 2.5GbE ports supports PoE+ with a 30W PoE budget, allowing a compatible UniFi access point, camera, or other powered network device to connect directly to the gateway.
For internet and network security, the Cloud Gateway Fiber delivers up to 5Gbps IDS/IPS throughput. It supports advanced security capabilities including a stateful firewall, application-aware Layer 7 filtering, deep packet inspection, intrusion detection and prevention, content filtering, ad blocking, and VLAN-based network segmentation.
The gateway supports multi-WAN load balancing, Site Magic SD-WAN, IPsec, WireGuard, OpenVPN, policy-based routing, advanced NAT, OSPF, and other professional routing functions. Ubiquiti specifies support for up to six WAN ports, depending on configuration.
The UCG-Fiber can manage 50+ UniFi devices and support 500+ simultaneous client devices, making it suitable for larger SMB and professional UniFi networks. It runs the full UniFi application suite, including Network, Protect, Access, Talk, and Connect.
For surveillance deployments, the Cloud Gateway Fiber supports selectable NVMe SSD storage up to 2TB for UniFi Protect. Ubiquiti offers no-storage, 1TB, and 2TB configurations, while users adding their own compatible drive later require the optional M.2 SSD tray.
The gateway is powered by a quad-core 2.2GHz ARM Cortex-A73 processor with 3GB memory and includes a compact desktop enclosure with a 0.96-inch information display. Its combination of high-speed interfaces, UniFi application hosting, and powerful security features makes it well suited for modern multi-gigabit business networks.
